The day before I leave for 3 weeks in Vietnam, I'm all packed (almost), Lonely Planet guide and phrasebook in hand, iPod in ears and ready to go!

Glasgow to London, London to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City 27 1/2 hours of flights then 3 nights in Ho Chi Minh City. Other than that I have no plans so I'm very excited and will just see where my adventure takes me.

Had a bit of a scare yesterday (Thurs 29th) when the visa I ordered fell through... Some crazy wee Vietnamese guy contacted me at 7.30am to tell me that their payment system broke so no visa! I Phoned 6 companies with either an answer phone or the response of "sorry we are about to close and it's a public holiday fri and mon, you will need to delay your flights"...great start!

Then, while looking for the BA number, I got a call from my saviour Hien Tran Thi! If I wanted to go I needed to complete an online form and pay $40 within the next 15 minutes...not ideal when standing at Partick tube station! iPhone TO THE RESCUE! Anyways, after a lot of stressing, I got an e-mail at 11 with my visa "pre approval" letter...IM GOING!!!

So one more day at work, a wee quick drink with the family then I'm off so this will be my one and only Glasgow blog until I return. As much as I like my friends and family, I hope you are all a wee bit jealous!
