Krakow is a really beautiful city in the centre, but outside of that the houses start getting quite rundown and turn into big blocks of flats that make it look quite like Manchester. I yet again managed to get lost the first day in the city (I yhink it may be my new method of really exploring a city). I tried all different ways of finding my way back, but my ever increasing circles just ended taking me in ever increasing distances away from where I wanted to be. Since I hadn't slept since the morning before in Berlin and had spent 30 of the previous 48 hours walking around with a huge bag on my back I was more than a little tired. But after asking about twenty non-English speaking locals which way to the city centre (I gave waving hands and speaking slower and slower a miss) I finally made it back to where I was staying a little after it got dark. I collapsed asleep on the bed.
