I spent most of today wandering along the river and listening to random musicians as they practised their respective instruments. It was quite fun lazily lying on the grass or sitting on one of the benches in the park not really doing much, especially as it was so hot here. I think I'll go to a café and sit back drinking a nice parisian coffee, perhaps even getting some pastry or other to eat with it. I might even have some fun with the tourists by staring...

There is so much in Paris to do. After I found a hotel to stay the night, I went to a museum (saw some famous Monet and Van Gogh paintings) then went to see the eiffel tower, although I was too tired to go to the top. I had an early lunch at a cafe too, really nice food, especially after spending the night on the train.

It seems that like Prague, Nice is unwilling to let me go. After a train strike all the trains to Paris are booked up for the next few days. Ah well, I have a ticket for tomorrow night which should get me there in the early hours of the morning. Not really much to do here, but I will endevour as always to achieve that truly lobsteresque complexion that I'm working towards.

Well I'm Putting some real effort into getting a nice even burn and it seems to be paying off. It's relaxing to spend some time lying on a beach reading instead of sitting in the middle of a city. Well I've got a couple more days of this before I move on.

ah, finally stopped getting trains for long enough to get a shower and hopefully later some sleep. I travelled to and stopped in 8 cities/towns and 4 countries in less than 48 hours. I decided to go from Prague to Salzberg, but when I got there it was fairly late and the place was just so seedy and unpleasant that I just got the first train in the morning to Zurich, which didn't have any hostel roo...
