We stayed at Sawtell beach caravan park, it's huge and meanders around an undulating terrain near a river mouth with a wide expanse of white sandy beach. It is set around a community swimming pool, picnic area with playground, oval and croquet club. After leaving Sawtell, we drove along the beach road, where possible, and there were endless views of bays, beaches, surf, and holiday makers. We called into Port Macquarie, a huge town/city, again with spectacular views of river and ocean. We found a hilltop view to have lunch from and a coffee place and a carpark ! Lucky! We met some friendly grommets who had just come out of the surf. We arrived at Pacific Palms about 3 pm and called into Lyn and John's holiday unit, where they were staying with her sister Diane, and David. After checking in to an ensuite cabin in Pacific Palms caravan park, we went back to their unit for dinner and caught up on the latest with them and their families, we had a very enjoyable evening.
