We stayed at Sawtell beach caravan park, it's huge and meanders around an undulating terrain near a river mouth with a wide expanse of white sandy beach. It is set around a community swimming pool, picnic area with playground, oval and croquet club. We drove down the east coast today calling in to Byron bay, crowded as, couldn't park, it's so hard when you have a trailer on, to find a large enough space and most of the parks are 45degree angle parking. We stopped at Lennox head a bit further south for coffee, its a bit smaller but a very nice surfing town, coffee was good!
