Today we did a nature tour out to see some waterfalls on private land. The guide was informative and entertaining and we learnt some of the history of the migration of the first people to Hawaii and the foods they brought with them. The waterfalls were a little disappointing but this was made up for by lunch at a spectacular coastal viewpoint which translated in English to Heavenly View.

Yesterday we completed the Maui channel swim for the second time for the same sense of achievement. A nervous night after the race briefing. Everybody talking about recent shark attacks but as a numbers person I told myself this lessened the likelihood of a repeat. The. The briefing went on and on about it being peak season for box jellyfish and how nasty is the sting.... Then my team mates started talking about pulling out if there are any sharks sighted.... So...

Today has been one of those great days of the trip. Yesterday we travelled from Las Vegas which was easy to accommodate being only a 3 hour time difference. We spent a very enjoyable 2 days in San Francisco. Our friend gave us a great tip on walking along marine parade revealing wonderful views of the Golden Gate Bridg.The morning started out cool and foggy with the blue sky breaking through around 11 AM. Yesterday we totally changed our plans and travelled to San Francisco instead of Orlando because we felt we might need a doctor and with good friends in San Fran getting the right help was going to be easier.
