Every now and again our travels hit a new high point and last night was one of then. After a morning walking tour with the Royal Palace as the highlight, we had an easy afternoon, On the way out we went up to the rooftop again to have a pre night out drink. Yesterday was a travel day as we flew from Paris to Madrid. On arrival at the hotel we ventured up to the rooftop pool and spent an enjoyable afternoon and I put in a reasonable training session for the forthcoming swim. Last night we finished off our stay in Paris with a lovely picnic on the grassy slope on the other side of the river from the tower. We had earlier bought provisions at the supermarket. We were there when the sparkling lights came on at 10 PM.

I today was our last day in Paris. It is hard to believe that this wonderfulEuropean trip is rapidly coming to an end. So many cities and it seems that we have had plenty of time yet this is proving to be the fastest month of my life. Last night we had a great experience with an impromptu visit to the 11 PM Moulon Rouge Show. We asked to sit near for a good view . We were more than well rewarded. We were given a stage side table and we were so close to the dancers I did not know where to look ....or not to look for that matter.
