Its time for the off again this time back towards central Thailand to the town of Ayutthaya after another farewell to a fellow traveller this time Nia, that was a bit sad as we've spent the last 5 days together, oh well things must move forwards I suppose, though I wish her the best and will definately take her up on the night out in Cardiff when I get home. Its strange because even though I left home alone since Ive arrived Ive not been alone as in Bangkok I met Collette then after she left for Hong Kong I met Nia....Well its solo for now I guess. I left Kanchanaburi for Ayutthaya by bus I was told it would take 2 hours but what I was not told was that it went to a place called Suphanburi where I had to change for another bus for another 2 hrs to get to Ayutthaya...on these long distance trips the bus stops every now and then while food vendors jump on with trays of meat and rice...(probably cats and dogs) and they insist on shoving the trays in your face as to tempt you to buy some...as you can imagine I loved it. The journeys were nice and drove through some padi fields where people where working..really remote. The bus's are crazy nothing like home..people hanging off bars on every bit of the bus, oh yeah and the driver nearly killed us a few times too...! Well after 5hrs travelling Ive arrived and just settled at the guesthouse which I can only describe looks like a chinese garden..really lovely and best place Ive stayed at so far...well its 3 days here and plenty of temple and ancient ruins sight seeing then off again....will keep you posted.
