Gary's World Adventure
Well as they say another day and another city...well town in my case.
Okay here's the bit to shock you all...I was up at 6am today and on a train to Lopburi at 7.30...I know what ur all saying and I know I should have listened to you all before that there was two 6's in one day...just think of all the hours I've wasted in bed (there's a nice thought)!
Lopburi is a small town that is famous in Thailand for its wild monkeys that roam around the town and in particular its ruins and Wat's (that means temples)...which were amazing especially has most of them have just had babies, oh yeah the best bit was when they were climbing up a rope bridge made for them and diving into the swimming pool below...! Amazing pictures to show you. Its strange because these monkeys just wonder everywhere in the town..streets,top of buildings, railway station you name it.
The second part of the day was yet another train journey to a place called Phitsanalok..oh wait for this stroy.
I went to the ticket desk at Lopburi to buy a ticket and got charged 350 baht (which is alot over her) but thinking it was just because I wanted the train that took 3hrs not the slow one that took 6hrs, so just paid. Well got on the trian as you do, thinking wow lovely reclining seats and oh sooo comfortable (well, if you'd seen the way Ive been living the last 2 weeks you would start to notice these things too) ..well Im just getting comfortable when a 3 course meal is put in front of me...Ive only paid for 1st class and not realised..well I think Im gonna make the lost of this..and guess what me and my luck I got talking to a soldier from america (stunning as well)..oh well maybe 1st class was well worth the money after all ;-)
Well Phitsanalok didnt really leave alot to be desired, but a good night market..oh and tropical storms al night..its time to move on me thinks...Its about time I make my way to Chaing Mai.
