We have been in Hoi An for 4 days now. Hoi an is a lovely little place with cobbled streets and lanterns everywhere. Theres an old town much like everywhere else weve been, Where in the middle of the day and early evening all motorized vehicles are banned. Little old ladies in pyjamas and conical hats sell Pineapples and Passionfruit at the side of the path. They also sell the most annoying whistle in the world, you hear them everywhere! "Hello! You buy something? whistle, pineapple, toot toot, mmm, mmm!"
Theres not alot to do here, apart from get stuff made. Jewelery, Shoes, Clothes, Belts, Bags and other Accessories. We have both had trainers made, which came out realy well. We both bought a pair of boardies each and Garath bought a nice T-shirt. I've also got a a pair of Sandals and a Coat done already. Im getting a dress made, for which I went for first fitting today, then it will be finished tomorow. Im getting a jumpsuit, a skirt and a shirt made which I have to go get fitted tomorow. Yes im spoiling myself (again).
We thought about going to the beach today but it was a bit overcast this morning. Yet Garath somehow got burnt today. Hes feeling a little better but still under the weather, bad sinus problems and sore throat. Some of the local cake has been helping we think (any excuse for more cake!). The food here is realy good so were never bored for long.
We booked our bus tickets out for Monday 3rd at 5:30pm. They were all full before this time. We are heading to Nah Trang, which is where the nicest beaches in Vietnam are. We might do some Scuba, if not deffinately some snorkeling.
Hope to see some of you on here, skype or facebook soon.
Same same but different! (local saying)
love you all lots xxxxx
