Today we went to the Ho Chi Min Mosoleum complex. We saw the Mosoleum and the 1 pillar pagoda. We walked around the Ho Chi Min Museum, they have a very strange collection of stuff. It was quite interesting looking at the way everything is displayed.
We walked past the Presidential Palace and then walked to the Red River. We had lunch in a cafe called Ureka Coffee. We sat on a table overlooking the river where about 40 people were peddaling around in swan shaped peddalos (like the one Richard Hammond used on the Top Gear Vietnam Challenge).
We walked back to the Guest house Via the big market and I picked myself up a Marc Jacobs(ish) bag for "very cheap price madame". I managed to get the lady down to over half the asking price, she was not happy, and growled at me as we walked off.
We looked around the rest of the market and found the biggest bag of Pistacio nuts you've ever seen. I had to get a picture of Garath holding it. He asked how much it was and she laughed thinking we werent serious. She then reached for her calculator and Garath put it down, something happened "POP!" and they were everywhere! We appologized quickly then ran, her face as we escaped was pure shock!
Tonight we have our 15 hour night bus to Hue. We have got a take-away pizza for the journey and plenty of water.
Hopefully blog again soon. xxx
