Hello! Sorry we havent blogged for a while weve been very busy doing nothing.

Weve been back in Luang Prabang for the water splashing festival (to wash away the sins of the past year) which was lots of fun. The whole town joins in, in an massive mass water fight on the main street for 3 days. We bought some little water pistols to join in and were ambushed by little kids with water bazookas twice the size of them, loaded with ice cold water. The older kids take it a bit too far by loading food dye in with the water, and smearing black grease all over everybodys faces.

We met some realy nice people during te maddness. We met Sam and Josh from the UK, Suzanne and Micheal from Holland, Crystal and Jen from Canada, and Phuong from Vietnam.

We went to the waterfalls and had dinner at the night market. A couple of nights we had drinks called Pink Gays at Lao Lao Garden. One night we played Voleyball with them all at Utopia bar, it was fun. However the next day a few of us had become ill from something.

We went to the 'New Year Fair' and had fun on the dogems, and watched the 'Miss Lao New Year Beauty Pageant'. We saw the 'New Year Parade' with Elephants, Monks and crazy outfits worn by the locals, including monkeys, dragons and trannies! We have our bus tickets for Sam Neau so we can head to Vietnam, we leave tomorow 17/04/2010 at 5:00.
