Our last day in Manchester has been another lovely one. Rebecca, me, the kids plus friends Kate and Pam and their kids met at The Meadows and went for a walk through the open fields and woodlands. There was frost all over the ground and many frozen puddles for the kids to test the ice and get wet on. They loved it. We all had hot chocolates at a little cafe before heading home.
This afternoon we finally got the chance to see Simone and John ( Rebecca's parents) who have both been 'poorly' this last week. They both look fit and healthy now, John celebrated his 80th in December. Simone had whipped up a delicious afternoon tea and we caught up over all the food and drink.
For our last night here we went out for teas with the kids and the Hasford/Lees family. The kids ordered pizzas and were then invited to make their own, which they loved .
We are now packing up again and leaving behind a few jackets, boots, shoes that we will not need in Singapore. The kids have enjoyed Manchester as have we but it is time to go and relax in the warmth of Singapore. So pleased we decided to have a stop over as I am not ready to head home just yet and am pleased we don't have a 25 hour flight in front of us....only about 14!!
