So this week has been a pretty relaxing week over all. Aside from classes I have mainly just been at the dorm or hanging out around campus with friends. Last Friday I tripped and sprained my ankle pretty bad. It was really swollen and hurt really bad the first few days. Unfortunately I wasn't able to just stay off of it for a few days because I had classes to go to but I tried not to walk too much and sat down frequently. It still hurts a little if I am standing for a long time but I can walk on it without limping now.
On Thursday we took a short trip to Umeda to see the Pokémon Center after my morning class. The Pokémon Center was a lot of fun! There were so many Pokémon stuffed animals and merchandise. I bought a Minccino plush which is one of my favorite Pokémon from the newer generation. It's so adorable! It is supposedly a chinchilla Pokémon. I also bought a keychain of Piplup (another of my favorites) and some packs of Pokémon cards for my cousin as a gift. The center was really spread out and had some Pokémon arcade games as well as an area where you could connect your Pokémon video games to trade and battle with other people.
After the Pokémon Center we went to Yorobashi where I invested in an electronic dictionary. The dictionary was very high tech and cost me almost $400 including a case and screen protectors. I bought the same model as my friend who had went there a few weeks before and she said that they had lowered the price! Plus they had a promotion going on that if you bought a case and screen protectors you could get 5000 yen off of your purchase so I really lucked out! So far I'm really happy with it. It's great for homework and doing paper in Japanese and it has a lot of cool extra features. If you are studying in Japan you may want to invest in one for your classes because they really do come in handy.
This weekend we were hoping to go to Universal Studios Japan to see the Halloween event but it rained nonstop on Saturday and we weren't able to go TT_TT Hopefully next weekend we will get the chance to go and maybe my ankle will be completely better by then so I won't be in pain!
