14th: arrived in bagan at 4.30 am with monosyllabic Swiss girl, Tiffany and Texan chase. Hung out at othello bello/hostel till breakfast- wandered down street for 60p Indian fry up served by child with voice of 70 year old chain smoker. Walked around aimlessly for several hours.Tried and failed at e bikes. Laura grumpy due to lack of sleep. Saw some awesome temples in old bagan. Woke up late (again!). Checked out of pickled tea. Met Tiffany from bay area and chase from Texas. All heading to bagan- joint hour long taxi to bus station arranged (£1.60 each). As normal headed out in head midday sun. Laura's 100000 kyt still not appeared,for taxi to national museum but too weary to dump all worldly belongings in locker therefore taxied inya lake instead. Sat inn local caf the sun, headed back and am now embarking of lovely ?10+ hour bus jour...

Woke up around 10, tried to have a shower but hostel (pickled tea) was overrun by gaggle of japanese tourists. Laura lost £60 and was therefore quite sad so we went to sharkies for a goats cheese burger to cheer her up. Followed this up with £1.75, 3 hour train journey in 38 degree heat. Would have been a charmer but forgot to take any water and thus nearly died. Went to 19th street for dinner, but in an attempt to avoid food poisoning just had beer. Met funny ...

Woke up early met two funny girls that had been teaching in Korea, booked bus tickets to bagan, went downtown, ate yet more pizza in excessive (yet actually cheap) Union bar. Saw the 2200 year old sule pagoda in the middle of a roundabout, finished bridges walking tour then when to botataung pagoda via bogyoge market. Went home via visa bar for pasta and bad/Asian cocktails.

8th March: Dubai-Bangkok. Lub-D. 9th: Bangkok-Yangon. Shwedagon padoga, street food. Pickled tea hostel, so hot outside, freeIng room! 10th: shwedagon padoga, kandawagyi lake/park, pizza at pepperoni pizza (government run), 75p drinks aNd crisps. 75p beer.
