Hello everybody!! Lols New Zealand is amazing i love it already and have just been here for 2 days! Great people, great food and great atmosphere! Havent made it down to the bar yet but there is still time!
Yesterday, i was thinking s*** how the hell am i going to be able to do a month here and now-i dont know if its gonna be long enough! Auckland is such a nice city, really clean and just nice haha.....=D Monday here turned out to be a bit of a sitting around day, i had a skydive booked for the afternoon, so was literally gonna head out and get picked up in the afternoon. Cloud cover and rain meant it had to be rescheduled until Tuesday so i slept for a while and went out for a bit of a walk, and ate dinner pretty much my day! Too tired for anything else! So 7pm came along and off i went to sleep haha!
Anyways, today is Tuesday and what an adrenaline rush it has been! Started the day off early....grabbed a banana for breakfast and walked down to the Maritime Museum for my pick up! From there, they drove out to the Auckland Harbour Bridge, where i was suited and booted out in gear.....=D i booked to do the bungy jump and bridge climb! (i just didnt tell my mum until the last minute text before i left the UK).
Headed out with my instructor Nicki, and walked to the bungy pod...Danish girl in front of me, eyes filled with tears and couldnt do it! All i was thinking-im gonna be looking like a right d*** if i dont do it either! So Nicki put my leg in strappy things and i got connected up......Neil walked me out to the platform and s***tttttt i was scared! Haha but still had a smile on my face! Lols, so 3-2-1 and off i went......little did i know i was going head first into the water, very salty!! Haha, brilliant! It was awesome, one of the best things i have ever done! So soaking wet and my legs shaking, i got connected up again and walked to the top of the bridge! Auckland is amazing love this place!
Got back to the bungy centre, and got the suit off, collected my tshirt, dvd and photos and headed back into the CBD.....nice breakfast on the waterfront.
Collected some more of the bloody fridge magnets haha, and then headed back up to the hostel. Skydiving was cancelled due to cloud cover which was a bit gutting but i think my bank balance must have been thinking otherwise!
So alternatives, go to sleep or maybe go check out the sky tower. Skytower it is! Haha, so walked up to the tower, where i saw mmmmmmm Sky Jump-YES!
Haha, leaping off skytower sounded ok, at 192metres straight down hmmmm yes! Haha, so booked and paid for, suited and booted again lols! Headed up with Micheal, guy from Western Australia. He went first, which was cool with me! My turn next, you are literally jumping out into Auckland. It was so scary....much scarier than the bungy jump! There was a fire in the city, which amused the instructors immensely, and my dvd is 10x longer than Micheals due to the amusement of them watching the fire-funny as! Haha, anyway off i went jumping into Auckland, was brilliant once i got off the platform-and apparently landed like a professional! Nice!
What an end to a brilliant day! Has been a great visit! Although a diffucult start glad i stayed it out! Anyways catching a flight tomorrow to New Plymouth, watch out the Berrie family haha!
Off for some dinner now =D haha, love fi xxxxxx
