First time in Asia woo!
Set off just after midnight from Melbourne and jumped on the plane. Was keen to grab a beer since it was free and I had never had that before. The food offered was chicken pizza however it was more like nachos on pastry. I quickly fell asleep to only be woken up not long later. Tossing and turning through the flight I finally got back to sleep and then breakfast was served around 6am. Choice of egg or noodles. Of course I had the noodles and realised that they were quite spicy for breakfast. Then off that plane and onto the next at Kuala Lumpur.
KL airport wasn't bad and I was lucky I realised I needed to be on the airport train to get to my gate. A couple of hours later I was at Bangkok. Flying over the city seemed to go on forever! Once landed, the airport was organised chaos with smoking rooms and renovations. Once through immigration and picked up the bags I found the man with my sign. It was then another hour wait before hitting the road.
Stepping outside the airport the first thing that hit me was the humidity, boy was it hot! Driving in Bangkok was interesting to say the least. We were in a 4wd and the driver changing lanes and flying down the expressway. It was interesting to see the raised roads (? Flooding). Not too long we hit some traffic and arrived at my hotel.
The hotel was great, my bag was carried to my room and water for free. The room was clean and has a great view to the city and the pool. I went to the pool and had a beer to relax. Now it's almost 8 and I am b*****ed! Can't wait to go cooking tomorrow :)
