Rome..... What a dump! Well that was my first impressions anyway!
Before we got to Rome we stopped at an outlet mall for some shopping, an hour wasn't much time but Kate and I ran around all the shops, buying some things as we went :)
So driving into Rome and seeing a dirty, slum looking city wasn't what I really expected, but then in the city centre, seeing all these amazing buildings really did change my mind! All the ancient buildings e.g. Fountains, colosseum and all the pizza and gelati convinced me Rome wasn't so bad!

So when we finally got off the bus we got some photos outside the colosseum and then proceeded to have dinner across the road from the colosseum (I'm not joking, literally we could see it from the window in the restaurant). The restaurant was quite nice and yes I ate the lasagna with the meat in it (when in Rome!).

So I hope tomorrow will be fun, seeing the Vatican city and all the famous parts of Rome :)
