Cali is the third largest city in Colombia and supposedly the party capital of the country, Not that we were going to see any of that!
We travelled for 20 hours straight to get to Cali, waking up at 5am to walk from Cabo San Juan to the National Park exit, then a bus journey to Taganga, then a minibús to Cartagena where we caught a flight to Cali. Sometimos travelling is jolly hard work.
We arrived in Cali late at night and crashed at our hostel exhausted. Next day we caught a bus to take us over the Colombian border into Ecuador. We didn't see anything at all of Cali, which was a shame.
Disaster struck us on the bus journey into Ecuador when the contents of Craig's bag was stolen whilst we slept. The thieves took our netbook, our camera and Craig's iPod and then jumped off the bus, just as we were walking up. It was a terrible feeling being robbed, all we could do was report it to the Colombian police at the border and feel very foolish.
