Well I guess I found myself plopped into the Faroes' largest holiday, Ólavsøka! For those of you that are rusty with your olde Norse, that's St Olaf's Day. The entire country has migrated to Torshavn, nearly all dressed in their traditional cultural clothing. There's beer galore, frankfushn, and cheering. But for what? You'll have to wait for the next blog!

Arrived at the Faroes on a plane that screamed into the tiny point of land carved out for an airport. About a 45 min shared taxi ride to Torshavn. I'm reclining on my airbnb bed waiting for the owners to arrive....I think they're here now...bye!

Second serving at the most excellent Hotel Odinsve breakfast buffet. There was traditional western fare like bacon and eggs, but also had a full selection of European delicacies.
