Lots of beautiful waterfalls all along the ring road. I'll just be grabbing touristy shots, rather than artistic, because there are just too darn many people. And the wind is blowing a steady 10 meters/second.

I'm off and running, driving the Ring Road around Iceland (anti clockwise just to make life interesting). However judging by the weather, it will be the better route. The Sudurland looks a lot like driving to Hot Springs from Elmo. Sort of scrubby with rolling mountains/hills. I'm skipping the touristy golden circle to avoid the throngs and make better time to my real destination of Dalvik to attend The Great Fish Day....or Fiskidagurinn.

Who is this guy??!? I guess this is my traveling face. The Kaldi Bar just rang the 7pm bell to signal end of happy hour. I've had my daily ration of grog, so time to wander about. At the airport I had a really good portion of Faroese fish and chips with coleslaw and remoulade. So maybe I'll wander the streets in search of a small store with some lighter snacks.

Hmmmm....me thinks I'll be soaking tonight as I anticipate a week in a camper van!

I booked a budget room in Reykjavik, but they upgraded me to an apartment suite!
