I'm off and running, driving the Ring Road around Iceland (anti clockwise just to make life interesting). However judging by the weather, it will be the better route.
The Sudurland looks a lot like driving to Hot Springs from Elmo. Sort of scrubby with rolling mountains/hills.
I'm skipping the touristy golden circle to avoid the throngs and make better time to my real destination of Dalvik to attend The Great Fish Day....or Fiskidagurinn.
