It's a foggy day aboard the ferry to Suduroy. My hosts, Durita and Fróði, generally use the webcams at portal.fo to look at the webcams and decide where to hike. I checked them at 6am and looked overcast everywhere. So, might as well take a nice long ferry ride somewhere I might not normally go and just poke around. The ferry ride takes two hours, so time to just relax. The ferry is big, and is blasting the fog horns every couple of minutes.
I had to literally run to get to the terminal this morning as I spent far too much time visiting with a couple from Norway at breakfast. They also have been in a lot of fog while here. They first went to the Orkneys and Shetland islands for three weeks. The national transportation system has a 4 and 7 day travel card with unlimited travel by bus and ferry. Since my luck has been interesting this journey, when I tried to buy a card this morning their system was not working. I ended up with a child's card, expertly adjusted by scratching out 'child' and writing 'adult'. We'll see if that works.
I probably won't be hiking today, either just walking to villages or take a bus to the other end of the islands.

Admiral Lozar Well...you are child-ish. That must account for something!
