Leaving Drawsko Pomorski we meandered south using the small roads and passed through the tiny villages seeing the lovely churches and often wooden houses. We stopped in Poznan for the night and marvelled at the vast outdoor centre that included a lake at least a mile long and a huge ski slope. The swimming complex was vast and had several outdoor heated pools and jacuzzis. There were people running and walking and cycling. Canoeists on the water. Jaw dropping !!!!!!
Auschwitz was difficult because you had to join an official tour which takes 3 hours and we couldn't leave Tess in the truck that long so we went to Birkenau and found it a very moving experience.
Krakow is a lovely city and we wandered around and even did the tourist tour on a small electric bike big enough for us and the dog! It was quiet being Easter and very pleasant.
Arriving in Warsaw to find the campsite we had chosen was closed we found another about 9 miles out of the city . It was really nice with a lovely big forest outside the gate for walking the dog. The weather was awful on our arrival so we caught up with some washing!!!!!!
Jackie and Peter arrived and now we are travelling together again. Can't believe it's 2 years since we were last travelling together. Tomorrow we head east towards Brest in belarus, crossing the border first thing on Wednesday.
Went into Warsaw this morning and wandered around the old town. It is hard to believe that it was all rebuilt after the war it is so old looking!
