How quickly the days have gone as we have travelled south. We crossed Belgium stopping in a small town called Neufchateau which had a lake and is obviously pilar in the summer but things are quiet now and there were few of us on the campsite. We refuelled in Luxembourg as it was much cheaper and stopped for the night in Mulhouse. The campsite was between two rivers and again quite quiet. Having driven through the wine regions of molsheim and obernai we crossed into switzerland at Basel and paid for our motorway tax a huge £26 which was pricey . We climbed up into the mountains and saw the resorts of Klosters and Davos which are pretty and obviously up market. We find a pull in for the night with lovely views. The weather changes and becomes much cooler and cloudier and we drive the Ombrail pass which as you can see in the picture was steep! We then do the Gaveo pass and stop in a village which has free camping for motorcaravans on a great field. We do a super walk following the Nordic skiing trails around the village. We wake up to snow on the mountains and decide to move on. We head for Verona but can't find anywhere to park up so we continue south and find a small village with an area set aside for motorcaravans right by a small park, perfect as again no charge!
Today we have arrived in Florence and tomorrow we will go into town and have a look around, apparently we can take the dog on the bus! However it is very hot and it will be difficult to keep going!!!
All good with the truck apart from the tremendous cost of the fuel! We are enjoying ourselves as usual and feel vey relaxed.
