Purple rain, purple rain - by Tracy
We are sitting in a train station waiting to head back to London for the night before the next part of our journey to Paris. Yesterday we saw lots of the sights around Birmingham including villa park (where sadly we couldn't convince anyone to let us in onto the pitch), a 600 year old pub, and historic Aston house which provided a great backdrop to a game of tag for the kids. Claudia was super excited to get a little bit of time in a pool - she really is missing the chlorine. We then got to reintroduce our little family to some more of the Ward clan over a couple of drinks. Eden won a Ming Moon karaoke award and the night rounded off with warren and Tracy thinking they did a pretty good job of singing "purple rain". (...ha! Never again....) We had a great night. And have had a really lovely time here, been so well hosted, been well and truly spoilt and are a bit sad to be leaving...
