For the past few days we have been with our group of AV's at the resort in Tha Ton. We met them at the airport and got to know everybody whist we waited for our flight. During the week in Tha Ton we had Thai lessons, Cooking lessons, and most importantly teaching practice! On our first day we got to know the guides at the resort Will, James and Kew and also our surrounding area. We went on a hike in a yellow limozine (song tao) to see an incredible buddah and temple. We also learnt about the important aspects of the culture i.e. taking off shoes and y'ing etc. We went to the local markets and the local bambo bar where fran found a new admirer which was highly amusing when he wrote us a letter and chased us on his moped. We did teambuilding games which were also useful for the children and schools!! We also visited our schools and met our teachers and saw our accomodation......!! ours have made such an effort we are so glad we are in that school! it is called mae sallak.......!! we are going there today which we very nervouse about but very excited!!
