This morning we walked around the plaza in the bracing morning air. It was Sunday and a group marched along, drums banging and flags flying, into the Cathedral.We travelled from the airport back across the Andes to Lima before arriving on the coast at Miraflores. We were up at 5:00 am to organise our bags and get to the airport for our trip to Machu Picchu. It took 5 minutes to drive there and 10 minutes to get into the car park. The flight was on a small plane and took about one hour flying over the Andes Mountains.
