A flat white! Finally!We had been on quite a poor run in Adelaide, but here we were served with what looked like, smelt like, tasted like flat whites!A perfect temperature, this was a dark, dark roast, but it's texture lets it get away with it. Smooth at the start, powerful to finish. Much to commend here, but probably not quite to our tastes. Iron in velvet glove comes to mind... In coffee form. AF

Of all the coffee shops in Adelaide (there are many), we accidentally manage to pick a sister operation to the coffee we had in the airport yesterday. We had this in a takeaway cup on the way to meet our Adelaide Greeter. It's better than yesterday... We are taken here by our Adelaide greeter, Andy, who tells us this is Adelaide's oldest espresso bar (turns out to be est. 1957, so I'm not sure if that's true...). It was begun by an Italian woman, the eponymous Lucia, in Adelaide's Central Market after she noticed that most of the Italian immigrants worked nearby, and were probably in dire need of some decent coffee. It's not a flat white, but we don't really expect one at such a proudly...
