After a drive from Fraser Island via Maryborough & several detours around road works we arrived at Noosa Shores Resort for a 6 night stay. In possibly the best apartment in the complex we had views both east towards Hastings Street area for sunrises & west towards Noosaville for sunsets - perfect water views of the river. Friday brought rainy weather so we wandered around shops & cafes till Sarah & Chris arrived for the weekend. The weather forecast proved completely wrong & we had beautiful warm sunny days for the rest of our time. We all started Saturday with the local Parkrun which was a special one - Geoff's 50th - congratulations!!! Breakfast at 10 on Hastings for another Acai bowl, eggs & avocado....... what a good idea. Noosa Food & Wine Festival happened to coincide with our visit so we enjoyed lunch on Saturday in the stalls in The Woods - fabulous gnocchi, cannoli & a glass of prosecco. Dinner at the Boathouse rounded off the day very nicely - delicious food & very good value. Sunday Sarah & I had another early start for yoga on the beach at 6.30 - just after sunrise. A beautiful place & fun yoga but quite challenging to balance & stay still on sand!!!! Coffee & a walk around the point to Little Cove reminded us of how much we love this place.
