We start off trekking in the dark and there are a few fallers but we push on for an hour or two and finally reach the Sun Gate which looks down onto Machu Picchu. It's what we all had been waiting for and the views didn't let us down!! We then walked down an hour to the entrance of the city, here we had photos and a quick talk by our guide. A few of us decided to climb wanapicchu, possibly spelt that wrong, it was hard work but worth as it gave us a different view of machu picchu than most people get. It's the big mountain to the right in the background. We then had several hours to look around and explore the city, well worth it.
