Dear Diary
Today I went swimming and snorkling with my girlfriend in posillipo. Only, we didn't go snorkling. Or to posillipo. The beach that was supposed to be half-deserted looked like a midsummer's eve covenant, full of people doing their dirty deeds, breaking bottles on the beach and eyeing us with lusty eyes. Well maybe not, but the beach was very, very full and not even a beach. It would have been okay if people hadn't all decided at the same time adopt a hive-mentality and invade this little swimming place in the numbers of millions (minor exaggeration). Instead we set off to the great unknown and trekked until we found a nice place near some beach resorts. It was kinda hidden, and you had to go there by foot through shallow water then climb some rocks, but it was worth it. Our own little rock where we could go swimming. The sea and sun really mess with your head and soon we forgot we had run out of drinkable water and had to wander off looking for some in a heatwave that could melt your socks. Our clothes dried up nicely, thanks to this. All in all, it was a relaxing day, where we walked too much. We did visit a park (parco virgilino) that was beautiful and there were portions where you could see Vesuvius, small islands and some of the city itself, plus the sea, cliffs, boats sailing into the sunset. Man, like living in a postcard. Now for some pizza and wine which we deserve, since we have been walking in desert-like climates without water or food.
Being pooped is one thing, being parched is another. Footloose, lights out.
