This is a cool, hippy, super laidback town north of Chiang Mai! Its pretty small but with endless bars with live music. We stayed here for two nights. Arrived at 1pm, explored the town on foot then had a rather large nap before heading out in the evening! We had some really cheap food, both had thai green curry for 30 baht each (about 80p!) and it was so tasty! The next day we hired a motorbike, i drove! We explored the outskirts of Pai, waterfalls, hot springs.. We followed one sign to a waterfall but we came to a dead end with a bar type place with hammocks on the top of a hill with a sign saying 'waterfall information' so we asked a guy with huge ginger dreadlocks who was behind the bar and he said it was a 2.5 hr trek from here! Yep we skipped that one! (we werent the only ones i might add! )The place as cool though surrounded by mountains, greenery, and about 7 horses being kept there by someone! We then found a swimming pool that we went back to and spent the afternoon! Back to Chiang Mai in the morning to catch our bus to Bangkok...
