Another long drive had us heading to Borroloola, stopping at Cape Crawford for lunch. We grabbed a few groceries in Borroloola and drove out to the King Ash Bay fishing camp. We set up alongside the beautiful river with enough time to have a fish from the high bank and watch the sun set. The boys caught a catfish each. They were hoping for a Barra of course but I think they just enjoyed catching anything.
Next day we woke to the picturesque river and the boys enjoyed some more fishing. We packed up some lunch and went for a drive out to Bing Bong port and boat ramp to try another fishing spot. Only Lachie was successful, catching a good size Trevally and having the time of his life winding it in! As it got hotter and hotter we headed back to camp and spent the afternoon relaxing and trying to stay cool. Before sun set we headed up to the Bar and Bistro for a delicious dinner and to watch the Canberra v Souths game.
Next day we just couldn't be bothered to pack up, so we had a very lazy day doing much of the same thing as the day before, including the beers and pizza for tea at the bistro and watching the footy. So glad to see the Roosters get up!
