Got up fairly early as we wanted to see the Citadel before it got too hot.

We walked from the hotel down to the Citadel which was ok apart from the cyclos which first clap at you to get your attention, then start shouting prices at you and follow you down the street. They got a little annoying after a while.

Once we figured out how to get into the Citadel, we walked around for a while but were both getting very hot and I was getting a little short tempered. Manisha really wanted to find the Forbidden Purple city or whatever it was called. We followed the Lonely Planet map and still couldn't find it, we walked around the outside wall of the citadel, still couldn't find it. Eventually we stumbled across a sign for the building that was next to the purple city - we finally found it and it was a patch of grass with some walls! Finally we decided that it was just too hot and that we should head back to the hotel. For the rest of the afternoon we spent time chilling out by the pool - which was great.
