HELLO everyone. Am glad to be here. Alive!! Saturday: Death road!!! Was crazy!!Also v.scary. Its called death road, because statistically the most people die there per year. On average, 100. Last year 335!! Including 7 cyclists!!!! The guide waited till we were all on the bus on the way there to tell us that there had been two landslides there the DAY BEFORE!! Was fine up until this point. Got all my gear on, cycled for a bit, then got to the top of the road, and panicked! Was gonna drop out- i was so scared! But i didnt! I may have been the slowest, but i still did it!! The road is at some points just 3m wide! Its all dirt track, blind cornes, Waterfalls on the road, and for the majority of time, its a steep cliff face drop of a good 400m! If you slip and fall- u will not survive! At the end was covered in mud, sweat . . . euh . . . it rained and thundered for most of the journey down. But it was all worth it for the t-shirt! (and the pics, which are great- will post them soon). Sunday: Did lots of shopping! Got the bus here (to Lake titicaca- its huge!) Today: we're now about to get a boat out to the isla del sol (sun island) Where theres loads of inca ruins and other ínteresting'stuff. And probably stay there for the night! Will probably write more tomorow night as i have a good 8 hours to spend before get the plane to miami!!WOO!!! Love to u all, Chloé xxx
