Today we planned to go to the palace and asked a friendly tuk tuk driver from yesterday to pick us up for 11am. We went for breakfast at the usual spot across the road from the hotel. I got cornflakes with banana it was so nice. We waited around for the tuk tuk driver but he didn't show up so we went back into our hotel to decide what to do. Thank goodness we did as it started pouring down with rain and thundering and lightening. It was so intense and so much scarier than England's. we decided to have a cosy nap for a few hours. We woke up and went to relax by the pool as by this time it was very sunny and hot. We relaxed and shared a pineapple pizza.
Later on we decided to go to terminal 21 (shopping centre) to have a browse and get some dinner. The shopping centre is themed on different cities on each floor. There was London which had underground style trains and signs around, San Francisco which had a famous train, Hong Kong which had Zumo wrestlers and cherry blossom and a few more I can't remember. We ate at a restaurant called peri peri chicken which was basically nandos! It has the same logo and looked the same inside and out. The food was really good and a meal for 2 including a shared starter came to 653 baht which is like £14. After that we went back to the hotel to relax and then for a drink at the one and only country bar. On the way there we met some French guys who were majorly drunk and were saying they were sexual predators and sexual residents of Bangkok as one of them had lived there for 6 years!!
