Wow what a day! It started like any other, we got got up and had breakfast and then got in the van and drove to Edith Cavell where we took a short walk up a little hill to admire the lake and saw a mini avalanche. Unfortunately we couldn't go up to the next level as there were aggressive grizzly bears in the area so instead we admire the view, looked for bears (which we didn't see) and some people made inukshuks. So today we got up and breakfasted and checked out of our hotel and started our journey to Jasper making a few stops along the way. The first stop was Bow Lake where we admired the view and took in the sites of the gift shop! From here we drove to Peyto Lake where we took the less beaten track to get a fab view of the lake away from all the tourists. So today marked the beginning of my Canadian Rockies Adventure. An early breakfast marked the start of the day and then we loaded our bags into the trailer and our brand new minibus -no more squeaky brakes like last week!! So today I got up and packed my final bits in order to check out so I could check back in later with my group. So I dropped my bags off to the lobby and then caught a taxi to the Olympic Park made famous by the Calgary Olympics in 1988 and the Jamaican Bobsled team and obviously Cool Runnings! So I explored the Olympic Site and saw and sat in the actual bobsled that was used in the film. I then checked in ready for my summer bobsled ride along the Olympic track....
