Right beside the cathedral where we saw the baroque classical performance a few nights ago. Opposite the fruit and veg indoor market. Straightforward menu of the day entrecôte. I foolishly said I would eat it as served. It was honestly tartar! So I sent it back and hoped they wouldn't spit in it. It was still rare when it came back but I didn't want to risk sending it back again. The vegetables were rather mushy but really tasty. Garlic is a hit here in Uze...

We had the same meal of entrecôte of the day with salad and chips or vegetables. So we split the vegetables and chips. As if I could just sit there and not eat some of these!!

Shared a truly divine pan au raisen. Obviously even though I was pointing at the delicious treat and saying pain au raisen it took a few moments to establish what I required. Much pouting and oh that's what you want ensued. Hehe. I love France. Every exchange is worthy of a play scene. This pastry was light, had that custard gloss that makes you want to eat your hand. Why did we only get one??

Terroir - place du herbes On the bus here ed said he wanted to eat as much French food as possible. This lunch was an indulgence in frenchness. Terrine followed by fois gras!!! The brioche style toast was as delicious as the pate. I could only manage a bite as I'm still a bit torn with eating this but I guess eating a bite is a little bit silly by all accounts! What the hell ... I ate some and I loved it!

Terroir - place du herbes Scallop carpaccio with a grapefruit orange and lemon dressing. This sounded and looked nicer than it was. Olive oil didn't have much taste and the scallops were too slippery with the bath of oil for me. It needed more acidity and although the pepper from the rocket was nice it wasn't powerful enough.
