We had fun on Monday going up and down the Grand Canal seeing everything. Its so facinating having a whole city without cars and vans- its all done by boat, laundry, groceries to hotels and even trash!! We decided to go up the Bell tower in San Marco boy are we glad we did, the bells started ringing 15 minutes later it was Loud! The kids and i then decided a gelatto was needed and more pigeon feeeding in the square we must have spent 12 Euro on corn. We then decided to do some souvenier shopping and we had a meal sat on the Grand Canal near the Rialto Bridge. It was expensive and not really very good food, the rolls were dry and the pasta over cooked. Everyone is looking forward to a hamburger, fries and cold coke. Checked in to our Hotel and were told that we could not put a rollaway in the room even though it was big enough. Had to book a single. attie said she felt like it looked like a shoe box, very small and dark.
