Back to Chapala today but this time got a lift with a couple of guys I met through working at the placement meaning that we could spend a bit longer mooching around. Having lost my purse, I don't have access to any money until Monday so this weekend was laid back one consisting mainly of sunbathing on the roof. Saturday, however, was Bev's flight back to England so we had to say our sad goodbyes and promise that we'd meet up in London over the summer. Finally got round to visiting lake Chapala after work with Bev. We got there just as the sun was setting in time for an amazing view and to take some quick snaps on my SLR. It's a gorgeous landscape of silhouetted mountains and the vast entity of Mexico's largest natural lake. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the crafts market or either of the islands, Isla de Mezcala or Isla de Los Alacranes, but the pier itself was enough; an outstanding beauty.

Back in Guadalajara after a mishap stricken bus journey home in which Jorge lost his wallet, I lost my purse, the bus broke down, and we finally tumbled into bed at 4am, dreading the 7am alarm for work. Nevertheless today is Jorge's 20th so the celebrations aren't over yet. We celebrate with a steak dinner and ice cream cake and a trip to the VIP cinema which for just £6 a ticket you can recline in first class style chairs and be served pop corn, coffee, cakes, ...

Last day in Sayulita and also Bev's 20th birthday. We booked to go on an all inclusive boat trip with hammocks and cushions to sunbathe on, slides to jump into the water off, food, an all you can drink bar, whale and dolphin watching, snorkelling, a trip to the hidden beach of Marietta's Islands and more.
