From Seattle we took the Greyhound to Vancouver. This was my very first time in Canada so I was pretty excited. We stayed at the Samesun hostel in Vancouver and it was a really nice one. It has a bar downstairs and always seemed to be quite lively.

For most of our time in Vancouver it rained. It wasn't just drizzling but properly pouring! We had a look around the shops on our first day to try and escape the rain. In the evening we met up with Donna, my mum's cousin and we had a nice meal out with tapas and sangria.

The next day we braved the rain and went in search of Granville Island. Unfortunately we ended up walking miles in the wrong direction and got lost. We eventually found it right underneath the bridge we walked over an hour earlier! We had some lunch on Granville Island and had a look around the market.

That evening we took part in the quiz at the bar. Luckily me and Lauren were able to join a good team because between us we knew very few of the answers. We ended up in a place called Roxys that night. There was a live band playing who were really good.

The next day we went to see Stanley Park. If we hadn't been so hungover and late to arrive we would have rented bikes to see it. But we were...so we made do with our feet. We were lucky enough to see 4 racoons! They were really cute. We walked back to the hostel by English Bay. It was really pretty here and for the first time since we arrived in Vancouver it wasn't raining!
