Good evening!
Hope everyone's ok! We're currently in Pattaya. Been here for 4 days now an the weather is beautiful!! Anyway here's what we have been up to since Pai!
While we were in Pai we were both sick so couldn't really do much. We saw the memorial bridge an the big Buddha but that's about it! We ate some dodgey street food so that wasn't the best. I finally had cornflakes and milk! It wasn't actually that bad to be fair!
The bus back to Chiang Mai was horrible an windey again, defiantly didn't help that we already felt a bit dodgey! We arrived round 4pm an got our bearings of the town. Most of the old town is kept behind a wall still. We had a wonder round the night market but were home early, I couldn't stop being sick! Ideal hey!
On Monday we managed to find a chap who could fix our SD card. I was made up!! He recovered all of the pictures we had lost an put them all on a pen drive for us, all for £15!! What a diamond! We put them on Facebook straight away so we didn't loose them again! That night we met up with Hannah an Steph, two of Gems friends from Uni. Was great to see them! Friendly faces we actually new!!
We didn't do much the next day but Darragh and Alison arrived the day after! We went to a lady boy show which was brilliant!!! Such a laugh.
We did a cooking course finally as well! We made hot an sour soup, hot an creamy soup, Penang curry, masaman curry, sticky mango rice an pumpkin with coconut. It was lovely. Felt 10 tonne after though :(
We left for Bangkok the next day. Got the sleeper train straight through. Beds were huge! The guy on the train said Mike looked like Schneider an wouldn't stop laughing at him!! Was hilarious!! We got to Bangkok round 7am an went straight to the hotel. I had my root canal done finally which wasn't too bad, didn't even get much pain afterwards. We bought our new Mac Book as well, so spent a good 3 Hours wandering round the Siam Paragon!
Defiantly a chilled day the next day. We went for a dip in the roof top pool for a few hours early afternoon an then headed over to MBK for a cover for the Mac Book. Stayed there for around 2 hours, it's huge. I was asking one of the shop workers if they had a cover that fits an she was like I'm sorry can you speak English?? I was in shock!
We caught the bus to Pattaya on the Monday an it took about 2 hours so no bad. We went for a walk round the 2 shopping centres and then went the cinema! We saw 1000 ways to die in the west, it was so funny. Directed an written by Seth Macfarlane so it was always going to be brill. We walked down to Walking Street to see the beautiful sights....lots of he naked women and lady boys...ideal!
We had a few drinks in a couple of bars but was really expensive! We can't get used to all this expensive drinking after being everywhere else in Asia!
We had to move hotels on the Tuesday the one we had checked into was disgusting, tiny tiny box room, windows wouldn't close so constantly smelt of fish from the market an to top it off, they play music 24hrs a day!!
Our new hotel is amazing. More expensive but defiantly worth it! The last few days here we have just been chillin round the pool, literally doing nothing. Had a good catch up on sleep an Hannibal. It's been really nice to not do anything.
I'll update again soon :) heading back to Bangkok tomorrow!
Love you all xxxx
