Hello!
We are still in Krabi, been here for about 6days now in beautiful Ao Nang. I can't believe this will be our final Thailand post! Wow hasn't this gone quick hey! Picking up where we left off!
The day Jackie was due to arrive we posted our picture over to Dom an went to the beach! Weather was average but brightened up in the afternoon.
We left for the airport at 8pm to pick Jackie up. Got a text on route that her flight she's getting is due in at 11:20!! We ended up sitting in a little cafe/restaurant near the airport for 2 hours! We made her a sign saying JACKIE an THAI FEST 2014! Waited at the door for her while Mike waited at a different door an in the end she surprised us by meeting Mike first.
We got back to the hotel round 12 an didn't end up going to bed till 3am! Up chattin away! She brought all our choccies as well!
The next day we went the beach for a bit but it started lashing it down. We ended up walking round the Big C looking for limes, mint an Bacardi so we could make Mojitos. We were totally soaking with trails of water behind us. At one point some woman was just following us round with a mop! We played a few drinking games an introduced Jackie to Hong Thong! We went for a few "quite ones"... Or that's what we thought it would be. Rolled in round 3am with a bus at 9 (apparently).
In one bar, mike went the toilet an got a back massage whilst he was in there! Cracked all his back he was made up. Not what you expect in a toilet but when in Thailand.
On Thursday we ventured over to PhiPhi island....paradise! To no ones surprise, the transfer was over an hour an half late. Us girls all got on the boat an threw up! Not the best. We met Sarah's cousin Rachael an her friend Erin, headed out for drinks. We got home pretty early, about 2:30ish but the girls didn't get home till 5!
Felt fine the next day, we went on a boat trip round PhiPhi. We stopped at the Viking Cave, the cliff jump, went snorkelling, to Maya bay beach an then to see the plankton. It's so beautiful, got loads of pics. The weather was lovely too. The snorkelling was great, saw hundreds of different types of fish. The water was really really clear.
It was Sarah's birthday on 23rd so we had a great day on the beach drinking home made mojitos an celebrating! Sarah also had to do her ice bucket challenge! We went home round 6ish an back out at 11. Pretty late one to be fair we got in just before 4am so not too shabby!!
We didn't really do much on the Sunday - day of rest an all that! We walked to the view point for sunset which was beautiful! The hike up there wasn't ideal but well worth it. Managed to get some good pics too. That evening we went for dinner an it started raining so heavy! The streets flooded an we could have probably swam home.
25th we moved to Ao Nang in Krabi where we spend the majority of the time waiting for the sun to come out!
We had a massage an drank when it rained. Standard Asia behaviour. We did managed to catch a few rays by the pool for a few hours at one point.
It rained the for two days straight all day an night!! When it was a bit better, we went on a trip to the hot springs an emerald pool which were lovely. Really good day an the weather was lovely. Managed a bit of sun bathing too which was a shock!
The day the girls were heading back to Bangkok we managed to get over to Rialay beach which was unbelievable. Green waters, powder sand, lime stone cliffs an the sun! Couldn't have asked for a better day!
Sarah an Jackie left us round 2pm that day to head back to Bangkok for a final explore an to head off home via Sweden and Abu Dabi! Emotional saying our goodbyes :( We sat round the pool for a bit an then headed into town for dinner an to pick a few bits up.
We stayed in Krabi for another day were we went on a boat trip round 4 islands. The four islands were Koh Poda, Koh Gai (Chicken Island), Koh Tub and Koh Mor. We also stopped off at the Phra Nang Cave Beach. We got to snorkel in crystal clear waters. Every bay we stopped in had powder white sand. These kind of places actually felt like we were in Thailand! Weather wasn't amazing but still got to see some lovely things.
Thailand has been brilliant! The whole 8 an half weeks here and having our friends join us has been the best. Thank you to Sarah, Bec, Matt and Jackie for coming to see us, it's been an absolute pleasure! Hope you all enjoyed it too!
Tomorrow we are off on our new adventure to Malaysia starting in Langkawi! 6am pick up unfortunately but will be totally worth it when we get there!
Love you all xxx
