So when we were leaving the park we took the wrong exit and ended up on the trans Canada highway heading west to British Colombia. Bret was tired and grumpy and wanted to turn around but I wanted to see the border just so I could say I'd been to both eastern and western BC. There was a lot of roadworks and the highway was a bit scary driving but there was a turnoff for the spiral tunnels. It turned out to be a stretch of railway track that goes through the mountain and curls back around on itself. The total fluke was there was a train right as we were there so we got to see it in action. I think it was serendipity :)
