Made it so far! After a very late night I woke up at 10am this morning. I'd missed breakfast but Brenton had gone down and got me some bagels and cream cheese! Hehe he knows me well. I managed to get dressed and cleaned up without incident (I was really wonky on the crutches yesterday for some reason!). We checked out and headed for the airport. By the time we got up and ready this morning the complimentary breakfast was over downstairs so that was a perfect excuse to try Denny's. My friend in Canada Bret assured me the lumberjack slam was what I should order. My god...I saw on the "dietary information" that it contains 50g fat!! Still tasted awesome though. Cleared to fly!!! So the insurance company has agreed to send us home tomorrow. We leave LAX and fly to Vancouver. Have 90 minutes in Vancouver and then fly to Sydney. 3 hours in Sydney and the fly to Adelaide. Not the most direct trip but it's getting us home. I have an appointment on Friday afternoon at Flinders Medical Centre and I'll be admitted that night to have the operation on Saturday. Not sure how long I'll be in hospital but Brenton's birthday is Mond...

We get to come home!!!! :) insurance company has approved our claim and we get to fly out Wednesday night! Via Vancouver and then Sydney! Gonna be a loooooong trip but so keen to get home and see a surgeon about fixing the damage. On the plus side I'll get to say I've been to Canada (well the transit lounge! Lol) it was funny, it dawned on me today that I must have a stamp in my passport! Because they took it and processed me on the plane I had no idea!

What's a trip to America without a trip to the outlet mall! :) the original plan was to buy some shoes over here and now that I'm relying heavily on a single one my rivers $20 special just isn't cutting it. So braving not 1 but 2 freeways we made it here. I've learnt that if I look up the destination on google maps with wifi then the map caches enough to follow it with the gps.
