Santiago 14/4/06 Excellent trip & our last journey in Peggy. Tarmac all the way. We stopped at a magnificant waterfall called Saltos de Laja. We arived earlier than expected on Good Friday. Early start from Bariloche, with a long day in Peggy ahead of us. We stopped at the border crossing - the last on on this trip. We arrived in Pucon, which is a small ski resort on the edge of a volcanic lake. It has a very Swiss feel to it. The views of the Villarica volcano from our hotel on a clear day were incredible. Another long day in Peggy, we stopped on the way to visit the Magellan penguin colony at Otway. There wasn't too many penguins as it was about to close for the season, it was also freezing.
