FARFRUMWURKEN
It's Sunday, November 13th and we’ve traveled 6,655 nautical miles to get to this rocky point in our trip. Unfortunately El Capitano felt that it was not safe to tender to Kangaroo Island so we’re going to miss one of the ports-of-call that I wanted to hit. I was really looking forward to photographing an area called Remarkable Rocks"= and Admiral’s Arch but sadly that will not be. I have however, with the power of the Internet, attached some photos so you can see what we have missed. We departed six hours later than planned last night heading for Penneshaw, but when we arrived our leader felt that it just couldn’t be so he’s adjusted his course and we’re heading for Burnie, Tasmania.
There’s apparently a big storm in the Indian Ocean and as I write this we have waves outside that are 4 meters high or just over thirteen feet. I’ve never seen so many patches behind the ears of so many people, but the old ms Maasdam is cutting it’s way at 9.3 kts. Like the old nursery rhyme, we’re 2079 people in a big tub in the ocean – we’re both glad that we’re on a lower floor and smack dab in the middle of the ship, it’s riding like a Cadillac. Today, was movie day, London Has Fallen with Robert Forster and Gerrard Butler. It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours with popcorn and my sweetie. Today marks the twenty-seventh day of our Australian adventure. With only twenty-three more days to go, we feel that we’re starting to get near the end.
