The plan was for me to rise with the sun this morning. We were scheduled to do some scenic cruising in the Bay of Plenty and the Coromandel Peninsula at about 06:00 a.m. While I slept just a little later than planned I pulled back the curtain in our room and I could see sailboats. Damn, I overslept I thought so I quickly pulled on my shorts and headed up to deck 12 to get my shots.

Just as soon as I got on deck, I thought - "I've been here before". Because Tauranga is a "tidal port" we had to schedule our departure last night to coincide with high tide. I remember seeing the lights of the city off in the distance fade away, but apparently not. When I got to the rail, I could see two ambulances on the port side and they were carting off a lady on a gurney.

I haven't got the full story yet and with only 51 minutes left on my Skyroam Wi-Fi access, I thought I'd get things updated before we pull away AGAIN. Hopefully this won't alter our arrival time into Auckland, I don't want to miss one night at the house because of this.
