FARFRUMWURKEN
Here we are in Paris - just a short 45 minute flight from Amsterdam - bags arrived and we're ready to go. We grab a cab from CDG to the apartment at 51 rue Blanche 75009 Paris. After the cab driver got ****** at T&J for a bag surcharge and left in a huff (58 Euros) we entered the code to our 3 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. To say this place is tiny would be an understatement. The main floor has 15' ceilings, but the owners have added three bedrooms to the second floor - my head skims the ceiling as I walk down the hallways and into the bedrooms - we'll deal with it fine it's just great to be in Paris in the heart of it all.
The plan is that we'll head out for dinner tonight to one of the places that Emma and Alex have summarized in the apartment overview and Paris guidebook. It's now 4:15 p.m. and I'm sitting here at this large window, probably 10' x 6' that looks into the courtyard of the apartment complex that we're in. The owners had left us a bottle of red, so I've uncorked it in a huge wine glass and sitting here typing my first blog entry in Paris.
As you can see from the pictures, my head is getting a little sore - I've probably hit it four or five times because I forget to duck. Jamie's been fine - she has lots of clearance. I guess the plan is that we'll head out for dinner - no cabs please. We've got four (4) days of touring here before we head home and I'm the tour director so hopefully this will be a great four days for all.
I'll report back tomorrow as the wi-fi appears to be good and quick. Again - thanks to all of you who have stayed with this stuff and followed us through Europe. According to the stats, I'm just short of 700 view on this blog so it's being read. - THANK YOU !

S. Jeffrey OK Globe-trotters! It's been a "slice" Sandra & Bill
Roswita Checked your blog, where is the mention of us meeting in Amsterdam? It's not like we see you every Saturday! We had a good time seeing you, Debby, Tom, and Jamie. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Roswita
Candice Remind me not to sleep, when you're around with a camera.
